The Midwives Model of Care is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes.
The Midwives Model of Care includes:

  • Monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle
  • Providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support
  • Minimizing technological interventions
  • Identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention

The application of this woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.

I believe all things birth, babies and breastfeeding first came to my attention when I was 12 and my little sister was born. Since then my passion for birth and breastfeeding has only been strengthened, especially with the birth of my own children. I believe God designed women's bodies perfectly to grow, birth, and feed their child(ren). I believe that giving birth is a life changing event in a woman’s life. Women are strong. Birth is not an illness. I practice the Midwives Model of Care. I am here to serve you and help you have the birth you desire.
